Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Program

Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Program is a conditional cash transfer initiative launched by BISP for the education of children of regular beneficiaries of the Kafalat program. Under this program, children belonging to poor and deserving families are provided cash financial assistance on a quarterly basis for their education up to the higher secondary level. The purpose of providing cash financial assistance to the children of beneficiaries of Kafalat registered by BISP is to encourage children to enroll in schools and colleges and to reduce the drop-out rate from schools and colleges by ensuring retention.

And according to the latest updates, the new registration of the Taleemi Wazaif program has been formally started by BISP as soon as the new year begins. With this initiative of BISP, women belonging to poor and deserving families who are regular beneficiaries of the kafalat program can now enroll their children in the Taleemi Wazaif program. Eligibility Criteria

The following conditions are necessary for admission of children under the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif program:

  • This program is only for children whose parents are active beneficiaries of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) kafalat.
  • The age limits for children’s education in the program are as follows:
    • Children should be between 4 and 12 years of age for primary education.
    • 8 to 18 years for secondary education
    • And children aged 13 to 22 are eligible for higher secondary education.
  • Enrollment in the program requires providing a few necessary documents, including the parent’s or child’s original ID card or “B” form, a complete residential address, and the signature of the school principal.

These conditions ensure that the children of deserving families can get quality education and lead a better life in the future.

How to Apply for Benazir Taleemi Wazaif?

If we talk about the registration process, it is essential for eligible children to be enrolled in a school or college in any district of Pakistan to benefit from this program. If the children are already studying in a school, their parents should visit the nearest BISP office. Upon entering the office, they need to provide the child’s Bay Form and the mobile number of the head of the household to the concerned officer. The officer will complete the registration process for the children and issue an enrollment slip. Afterward, the parents must take this slip to the children’s school for verification and then return it to the BISP office. Once the verification of the enrollment slip is completed, the children’s stipend will be released.

اگر ہم رجسٹریشن کے عمل کی بات کریں تو اس پروگرام سے مستفید ہونے کے لیے اہل بچوں کے لیے پاکستان کے کسی بھی ضلع میں اسکول یا کالج میں داخلہ لینا ضروری ہے۔ اگر بچے پہلے سے ہی کسی اسکول میں پڑھ رہے ہیں، تو ان کے والدین کو قریبی BISP دفتر جانا چاہیے۔ دفتر میں داخل ہونے پر انہیں بچے کا بے فارم اور گھر کے سربراہ کا موبائل نمبر متعلقہ افسر کو فراہم کرنا ہوگا۔ افسر بچوں کی رجسٹریشن کا عمل مکمل کرے گا اور انرولمنٹ سلپ جاری کرے گا۔ اس کے بعد، والدین کو اس پرچی کو بچوں کے اسکول میں تصدیق کے لیے لے جانا چاہیے اور پھر اسے بی آئی ایس پی آفس واپس کرنا چاہیے۔ انرولمنٹ سلپ کی تصدیق مکمل ہونے کے بعد بچوں کا وظیفہ جاری کر دیا جائے گا۔

Quarterly Stipend Details

BISP releases education stipend installments on a quarterly basis from January every year, under which Rs 1,500 is given to boys and Rs 2,000 to girls admitted at the primary level per quarter. At the secondary level, the stipend is fixed at Rs 2,500 for boys and Rs 3,000 for girls, while at the higher secondary level, a quarterly stipend of Rs 3,500 per boy and Rs 4,000 per girl is given. Eligible beneficiaries can collect their quarterly installments from January to March 2025 through bank accounts or designated centers.
